Seniors familiarize themselves with how computers operate through a hands-on experience. The workshop covers topics that involve navigating the internet, typing, office applications and more. The age range of seniors in the class is usually 55 to 90 years of age. The workshop facilitates seniors with multiple levels of computer literacy and is designed to help seniors become more comfortable with computers, enabling them to perform tasks such as paying bills online, buying medicine, communicating with distant friends and family and more. At the end of the workshop, seniors are awarded a certificate of completion to encourage them in continuing the strides towards computer literacy. The workshop is offered both on-location and at our Village location. |
