History of 100 Black Men of Jackson, Inc.

The 100 Black Men of Jackson, Inc. was formed in 1990 and is making a substantial impact in the lives of youth in Metro Jackson and the sate of Mississippi. Our Four for the Future programs are based on traditional values that are keys to success in improving the life of at-risk African American youth in every reachable community.
Four for the Future outreaches four core elements needed in today's African Jackson communities. The first element is mentoring, where we guide youth in positive life experiences. In education, we annually give students financial assistance to college through scholarship programs. With the health & wellness element, we promote preventive health strategies through calibration with churches, non profits, and civic groups to deliver health screenings, and providing education on prevalent African American diseases. Finally, with our economic development element, we provide a resource outlet from Corporate, National, State, local, entities exposing the need for majority participation in technology and general business that economic opportunities can help with the success of entrepreneurs in urban communities.
